founded 2009
Veteran Development and Construction was founded in 2009 and was solely owned and operated by Charles H. Simmons. Charlie, a retired United States Air Force Veteran and Police Officer of 45 years, grew his passion for construction until his passing in 2020.
His wife, Valerie Simmons, working closely at his side for 20 years, continues to operate the company in honor of Charlie’s memory and carries on his vision, goals, and high standards he instilled within the company.​
​Veteran Construction first started performing service maintenance work and small interior build outs on commercial properties in the Cleveland, Ohio area. With Charlie’s intuition, honesty, integrity, reputation, quality, and prompt service, the company grew into a full service General Contractor in short order.​​
